Bachchon Ka Ghar
The Bachchon Ka Ghar (literally translated in English to a home that belongs to children) in Rustampura was founded in December 1988. We have successfully managed this Orphanage for over 30 years, alhumdulillah. The Bachchon Ka Ghar has the capacity to accommodate 300 children and works to support both boys and girls.
What began as a small family home back in the 80s (see the gallery for photos) has now expanded to include multiple buildings including an onsite Masjid, a building for the kitchen and dining area, individual classrooms and communal bedrooms for our children that reside at the Orphanage.
Narrated Sahl bin Sa’d:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.
[Sahih al-Bukhari: Book 68, Hadith 53]
Geography
Bachchon Ka Ghar is based in the village of Rustampura in the Vadodara district of Gujarat State, India. The surrounding community live in predominantly economically poor conditions. This means parents in the local community are unable to send their children to school or madrassa. In a bid to help this community, we start Bachchon Ka Ghar. That being said Bachchon Ka Ghar is open to all those that can benefit from it and not just the residents of Rustampura.
