What is your donation money spent on?

Every bit helps

An undertaking of this size and nature comes with many costs which wouldn’t be possible without generous donations. To give you an idea of the various expenses, donation money (amongst many other things) can be spent on any one of the following

Education

We cover the cost of both the Children’s Islamic education and the cost of their formal non-Islamic Schooling. The latter is done off site and we cover the children’s fee and the cost of stationary, books and exams

Food

The children are provided with a minimum of 3 meals a day. The wholesome, nutritious and tasty food is cooked on site in the kitchen by our passionate chefs. This is a vital source of nutrition for many of our children whose families would otherwise struggle to provide this

Accommodation

Whilst many of the children are supported by us during the day but return to their family homes at the end of the day or during the holidays; we have some children who have nobody to turn to. We provide accommodation for them all year around in our communal bedrooms

Healthcare

Should our children need any medicine or have any concerns about their health, we cover the cost of getting this treatment

Salaries

Supervising so many children is no easy task and therefore donation money is also spent on paying a number of people for their role in the running of Bachchon Ka Ghar. Amongst other people, this includes the Islamic teachers, the cleaners and the chefs
